Tellus B: Chemical and Physical Meteorology is one of the most respected journals in the field of meteorology. Dating back to 1949 it now boasts an impact factor of 3.336 (2010). In 2012, both Tellus B and its sister journal Tellus A: Dynamic Meteorology and Oceanography switched to the Open Access publishing model. At the same time, all back files were made freely available, turning these two journals into a treasure trove of current and past atmospheric research.

Aims
Tellus B aims to provide a broad forum for researchers across a number of scientific disciplines to communicate recent discoveries and novel theories about the chemical and physical conditions of the atmosphere and their impact on the ecosystems on the Earth.

Scope
Tellus B accepts papers on air chemistry, aerosol science and cloud physics including related radiation transfer, surface exchange processes, long-range and global transport, and biogeochemical cycles of carbon and other key elements.

Types of Articles
Tellus B publishes Original articles, Short notes, and Letters to the Editor. All papers will be published immediately after the proofs have been finalized; they will not be collated into “regular issues”. However, “special issues” and conference proceedings may be published at one and the same time.
